Study Says Foster Kids Are Drugged Far Too Often

This is something we have been trying to bring to light for a while now and finally we have some main stream media looking into it.

We have read a copy of the training pages from Florida DCF for working with "human research subjects" aka children, they are litterally training workers on how to use and abuse our children. This is enough to make me sick.

I have made this know to Governor Rick Scott, as well as DCF workers such as David Wilkins, Robin Jensen, Lisa Voigt, Brena Slater and many others.

I say we hold governments accountable for this heinous crime against humanity, no child is disposable.

God save our children.

Foster children are being prescribed cocktails of powerful antipsychosis drugs just as frequently as some of the most mentally disabled youngsters on Medicaid, a new study suggests.
The report, published today in the journal Pediatrics, is the first to investigate how often youngsters in foster care are given two antipsychotic drugs at once, the authors said. The drugs include Risperdal, Seroquel, and Zyprexa -- among other so-called major tranquilizers -- which were developed for schizophrenia but are now used as all-purpose drugs for almost any psychiatric symptoms.
"The kids in foster care may come from bad homes, but they do not have the sort of complex medical issues that those in the disabled population do," said Susan dosReis, an associate professor in the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and the lead author.
The implication, Ms. dosReis and other experts said: Doctors are treating foster children's behavioral problems with the same powerful drugs given to people with schizophrenia and severe bipolar disorder.
In recent years, doctors and policymakers have grown concerned about high rates of overall psychiatric drug use in the foster care system, the government-funded program that provides temporary living arrangements for between 400,000 and 500,000 children and adolescents. Previous studies have found that children in foster care receive psychiatric medications at about twice the rate among children outside the system.
The new study focused on one of the most powerful classes of drugs, antipsychotics. It found that about 2 percent of foster children take at least one such drug, even though schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, for which the drugs are approved, are extremely rare in young children.

If DCF Florida Hadn't Taken Boy Zachary Johnson, He Might Still Be Alive

Family: If DCF Hadn't Taken Boy, He Might Still Be Alive

A Polk County deputy and her husband are questioning why the Florida Department of Children and Families took 17-month-old Zachary Johnson and his 2-year-old brother from their custody and placed them with an aunt and uncle.
That decision may have proved fatal.

Family: If DCF Hadn't Taken Boy, He Might Still Be Alive

The children's uncle, Matthew Wyrosdick, 32, is charged with aggravated manslaughter after Zachary died Friday from injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome, according to Lakeland police.
He is being held without bail at the Polk County Jail.

Linda Page and her husband, Tom, who are the children's great-aunt and great-uncle, had custody of the boys briefly last summer when their parents, Eugene and Clarissa Johnson, were arrested on multiple charges ranging from grand theft to credit card fraud.
The state agency placed the boys at the Pages' four-bedroom home in Winter Haven, and later moved them to the one-bedroom home of Wyrosdick and his wife, Mysti,in Lakeland, Linda Page said.
"We were shocked," Page said, adding that she and her husband provided for the boys even after DCF moved them.
"For the past year, we provided diapers, food and formula for the kids. We saw the kids regularly," Page said.
When asked if she believed Zachary would still be alive had the children remained in her home, Linda Page said, "I can tell you there wouldn't be a shaken baby situation."
Elizabeth Arenas, a DCF spokeswoman in Orlando, said the agency is conducting an internal review of the matter.
"There are still a lot of unanswered questions," Arenas said.
In general, anyone taking custody of the children would have had to pass a screening process, including a home inspection, a criminal background check and reference checks, Arenas said.
Wyrosdick is accused of shaking the child so hard his head snapped back and forth after the boy wouldn't sit at a child-size picnic table.
Police said after the shaking, Wyrosdick put Zachary back on the seat, but the boy fell and hit his head on the corner of a coffee table. He shook the boy again and marched him to a door, where the boy's head struck a stair railing twice. Police said he also dropped Zachary on the floor three times.
The Johnsons, Zachary's parents, told a reporter Sunday that the children were placed with the Wyrosdicks because they were the only relatives who passed a DCF background check.
Carrie Hoeppner, another DCF spokeswoman, said today that she could not confirm that because of the ongoing review.
The Johnsons had been working with the state agency to regain custody of the boys. Zachary's 2-year-old brother, Austin, is back with his parents, Hoeppner has said.

DCF is the biggest waste. I called them about 15 years ago on a neighbor who used his one year old as a punching bag routinely. They came out, checked out everything and told me I was a liar and said I must have a problem with the people. I told the woman that came out "yeah, I have a problem with a grown man that beats a 1 year old girl all night long". I ended up calling the Sheriff's office the next time and they told me DCF is a waste of tax payers money, that they do nothing and to never call them, call the law enforcement. One week after the sheriffs were called, the family moved out and I still to this day wonder what ever happened to that little girl.

Florida's DCF child welfare system is widely known as the worst in the country. They can't even tell you where some of the children in foster care ARE right now let alone keep them alive. Its pathetic.

The people complaining aren't the parents, they are the people who cared for the two brothers and had them taken from them and given to the white trash uncle for no reason.

The child was placed with an uncle & aunt and they were the ONLY family members that passed a background check? Doesn't the article say that the sheriff's deputy and her husband are family? So did the sheriff's deputy not pass the background check...and if not, WTF?

I dont comment much but DCF is a joke. Maybe in this circumstance they should have questioned the parenting skills of the biological parents...They DO NOT do background checks!!! If that was the case I would have gotten my niece and nephew instead of them being put in foster care for 2 weeks and now they are in another state. DCF, HKI all of them are a joke. I am sure this uncle had a past history?????? Are you seriously telling me that this piece of redneck trash never did anything violent and then all of sudden starts slapping kids around? DCF wake up!!!!! This is not the first time this has happened.

Professional Baby Brokers DCF Florida

Our goal is to never see what happened to us happen to anyone else ever again. DCF is not out to protect children, they are there to collect federal dollars and they collect a lot of them. Destroying families means nothing to them, money is what counts. The more children they take, the more money they get.

DCF and the Family court system is an industry. They are in business to take children from loving homes and they are paid to do just that. They make thousands of dollars for every child they take. Once caught up in their system, your life can become a living hell!
DCF takes the children and then looks for something. DCF says they are there to help but they are there to take your children for money.
Every day in the USA families face false allegations of child abuse, and children are often unjustly ripped from their families and placed in foster homes. These families suffer trauma and depression in their attempts to be together again.
I choose to help families who have been torn apart by DCF false accusations, which are far too common these days. It is a travesty of justice, one I cannot silently ignore because I've felt the pain of false accusations made by a DCF caseworker, and resolved to try to prevent this injustice from continuing. I haven't been able to stop it, but I am going to help  families to fight DCF  injustice system and get their children back.

Federal statistics show that children in foster homes are about ten times more likely to be abused sexually, physically, emotionally, and mentally than children in their natural family homes. They are even more likely to be killed. A recent study concluded that foster children are more likely to have teen pregnancies and to become juvenile delinquents. The study said that children are better off when left with their natural families, even if those families have severe problems.
Social work should be a process of helping families resolve and recover from problems, not a process of tearing families apart forever and traumatizing children for life. This imbalance in the social work profession has been caused by federal legislation that gives financial incentives in the form of federal funding and social security reimbursements when children are torn from their homes and placed in foster homes
 Fourth Amendment:“
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized
I want your help to stop DCF abuse of power and to have a third party investigate DCF
Thank you

Corrupt DCF Employees Break Up Families

DCF Florida Employees Break Up Families

Corrupt DCF Employees Break Up Families

How I met Dulce.
Across various parts of Florida, children are being taken from their families unfairly because of certain corrupt employees inside of DCF (Department of Children and Families). Dulce and her families are victims of this corruption.
I first met Dulce because she and her mother were renting a house that I rented to her uncle.  I have known Dulce since the day she was born and saw her frequently as I maintained my rental houses and apartments in Arcadia.  When she was a month old I would babysit her, along with my daughter, while her mother worked.  At three months old, Dulce would whimper when I came in to the house when I picked her up she would stop and be so happy. When Dulce would go with me in the car she would bend her neck around and would not take her eyes off of me. By the time she was six months old, when I visited her home, she only wanted me and when I had to leave she would continuously cry.  She loved me and I loved her just as much.  When she was eight and nine months old she started saying “dad dad” to me.  Her mother said that when she was sick during the night she would call for her “dad dad.”  She always wanted her daddy more than anyone else.
When she was one-year-old, her mother and aunt told me they wanted to contact the father again and give him an opportunity to be in her life.  Although I was not in favor of this at first, I knew it was the right thing to do because he was the biological father.  Once the aunt and mother contacted him, they found him to be married.  His wife said, “you are not the father and will have nothing to do with her.”  The father and his wife left the next day and went back to Mexico.
As time went on, our father-daughter relationship grew even stronger.  In April 2010, the mother signed temporary custody papers so that I could care for Dulce and  get her emergency care if she needed it.  From the time Dulce was born the mother signed permission papers allowing me to  take her to her normal Doctor visits. I never missed one.
The mother is now having good days and bad days – more good days than bad.  Dulce began to spend more and more time with me.  Then, Thanksgiving 2010 Dulce came to live with us full time.  I used to take Dulce to see her mom three or four times a week.  We used to go to Burger King or the park so that her mother could watch her play.  On her bad days, we would have to leave without Mom getting to see her play.
The aunt and uncle would visit every Sunday to see Dulce and her mom.  Many times I have invited DCF (Dept Children and Families) and Guardian Ad into our home to see how well she was doing; they never visited.  We are also fighting for custody for her sister, Leslie, which I will not go into details as this case is ongoing.
On April 19, 2011, a DCF supervisor, came to our house to take our daughter away to a foster home.  It has been 90 days since DCF took Dulce.  I have never lived through this much pain before in my life.  Everyday gets harder, not easier.  There is little I can do because of all the corruption in DCF.
I need help on fighting the corruption in DCF.  Please reply below with your comments and support.
